Where every child has space to grow
At Kath Dickson Gladstone Street in Toowoomba, children enjoy both a large natural playspace and the warmth of a small, welcoming community.
Our dedicated educators go above and beyond to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment. Children have ample space to climb, explore, run, and connect with nature, while small group sizes and open rooms create a close-knit environment where everyone can play and learn together. This combination of space and connection encourages curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of the outdoors.
As part of our deep commitment to inclusion, we greet children in their first language, celebrate each family’s culture, and offer support whenever it’s needed. Families are welcomed as part of our community, and children benefit from hands-on experiences through cultural celebrations, local excursions, and visits from special guests. These experiences help children develop confidence, kindness, and a sense of their place in a caring, connected community.
We warmly invite you to visit and see why families describe Gladstone Street as a truly special place for their children.

Nature as the third teacher
At Kath Dickson Gladstone Street, we embrace nature as the third teacher, giving children rich, hands-on experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom.
Our huge outdoor space is a place for discovery, where children explore vegetable gardens, care for plants, and observe the cycles of growth. They visit our friendly chickens, investigate insects on bug hunts, experiment in the mud kitchen, ride along the bike track, and climb and balance on natural play equipment. Regular visits from Dragon Fields Farm give children the chance to engage with animals and farm life firsthand. These experiences foster curiosity, independence, resilience, and problem-solving skills, while nurturing a deep connection with the environment and a love of learning through meaningful, real-world exploration.
See some of our adventures on our Facebook page or call us on 4632 5284 to find out more about how we integrate outdoor spaces into our learning programs.
